I read a article about communication between animals and I would like to share my opinion with you
How do animals communicate with each other?
Some animals make sounds or while others use body language.
Octopuses use patterns and colors of the skin to communicate with other animals.
I wonder, can octopuses actually be as smart as humans?
Language
Octopuses have the ability to use patterns and colour of their skin to make other creatures understand them better. This is also a form of language that may be as difficult as human languages.Humans do not have the ability to understand octopuses’ language and communicate like them. For example, humans has no patterns on their skin and have to use sounds to communicate with others.
Knowledge
I think the humans have wider knowledge than octopuses. This is because humans not only know how to find food and survive,we also gain knowledge by going to school and learning about geography, science and history. For example, humans have learnt to farm animals instead of hunting them down. Octopuses probably don’t attend school but some of them learn to survive on their own.
LOGIC
Humans use logic in their school subjects such as math. They use different type of methods and formulas to solve a math problem. For example, humans use algebra to simplify complex problems.I don’t think octopuses can do mathematics in the same way but maybe we can design experiments to examine their capabilities.
Conclusion
There are many aspects to being smart and we shouldn’t look down on animals just because they are different from us.They have unique abilities that humans don’t have and this makes the world more diverse and amazing!:)
